About Marigold Paths:

Blank Space presents its newest group exhibition featuring the artworks from over 30 Mexican artists living all around the world, to celebrate the rich tradition and colors that is Día de Muertos. The public is welcome to the vernissage Friday, October 19th from 18:00 – 21:00, and will be on display until November 29th 2018.
Blank Space is honored to be organizing a group exhibition focusing on Día de Muertos, the Day of the Dead, a tradition that was recognized in 2008 by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This exhibition will be an homage to the Mexican tradition: a celebration of the richness, colors, and imagery that will be represented by the diversity of artists, backgrounds, and mediums represented in the show.
This exhibition will immerse the Norwegian audience in the folklore of this celebration, and to invite Mexican people living in Europe to revive the tradition. Alongside the exhibition there will be other activities to promote this cultural exchange and a better understanding of this in-depth tradition and the joy that it brings. From live performances to paintings, sculpture to animations, costumes and music - Blank Space creates a living room filled with this celebration of death.
Blank Space also honors the reality of this day for those living it - not just the colors, vibrancy, and joviality as seen from the outside, but the serene and sacred memories of those living this culture. We have teamed up with multiple Mexican cultural producers, such as illustrator Paulina Suarez and artist Priscilla Serrano, and joining forces with Festival Día de Muertos Noruega to create a truly authentic experience.
